Yes, if the guard is openable. We recommend at least one hinged guard with an inside lock per floor, ideally in bedrooms, and we can convert existing fixed guards into openable ones.

Every guard gets an anti-rust primer and paint before installation. A repaint every few years keeps them looking new — and if rust has already started, we treat it and repaint on site.
No. The guard is anchored into the concrete or block around the opening, outside the aluminum frame, so we never drill through your window sash.
